Janice (Sandler) Hyman


Janice (Sandler) Hyman, 95, a resident of Narragansett Village in Warwick for 30 years, died April 21, 2012 at West View Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Robert Hyman. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late George and Annie (Perlow) Sandler. Janice was the co-owner with her husband of the former Crawshaw's Restaurant. She was a professional bowler and an avid golfer, playing until she was 91. She was a member of the Crestwood Country Club and Firefly Golf Course. She is survived by her children, Alan Hyman and Judith Bazarsky; her grandson Brian Bazarsky; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; and her sister Ida Shaver. She was the mother of the late Steven Hyman, grandmother of the late Mark Bazarsky; and twin sister of the late Molly Bloom. Her funeral service was held April 23rd in the Sugarman-Sinai Memorial Chapel, 458 Hope St., Providence, burial followed in Lincoln Park Cemetery, Warwick.
