Joan C. (Zuchero) Menard, age 80, formerly of Lewiston Street, Warwick, passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at Kent County Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Ernest C. Menard.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Angelo and Concetta M. (Chiodini) Zuchero, she lived in Warwick for over 50 years. She attended Tyler Parochial School in Providence. Mrs. Menard was employed at Monet Jewelry in Providence for 35 years, retiring in 1999. She had previously worked at Liggett’s Restaurant, CALART, and Davol, Inc.
She is survived by four sons and three daughters: Ernest C. Menard of LaPlace, LA, Brenda L. Breault of Warwick, Gail R. Rainville of Warwick, Mark S. Menard of Warwick, April A. Menard of West Warwick, Anthony V. Menard of Warwick, and Damon A. Menard of Warwick; a sister Shirley Zuchero of North Providence; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Edward Zuchero, James Zuchero, Joseph Zuchero, and Dolores Sandidge.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 11, at 10 a.m. from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited, and may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday from 8:30-10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick.
