Joan (English) Gammino, R.N., age 86, formerly of Westfield Road, Warwick, died on Thursday, December 22, 2016, at the Scandinavian Home in Cranston. She was the wife of the late Wilson J. Gammino.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late John M.F. English, M.D. and Margaret (Brogan) Hull, she lived in Warwick for 53 years. Mrs. Gammino was employed as a registered nurse at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence for over 20 years. She was a 1951 graduate of the Rhode Island Hospital School of Nursing.

She is survived by two daughters, Susan J. Boyette of Florida and Nancy J. Arnold of Cranston; a son, Peter W. Gammino of Warwick; a sister, Margaret E. Curran of Saunderstown; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Her funeral was held on Wednesday, December 28, at 9 a.m. from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Peter Church, 350 Fair Street, Warwick.
