Joseph W. Quirk, age 67, of Betsey Williams Drive, Warwick, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 28, 2018.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Robert F. and Catherine M. (O’Sullivan) Quirk, he was a life-long Warwick resident. Mr. Quirk was employed as a painter at the Electric Boat Division of General Dynamics in Groton, CT for 35 years, retiring in June 2016.

He is survived by four sisters and a brother: Catherine M. Adams of Assonet, MA, Robert F. Quirk of Warwick, Margaret E. Andreozzi of Warwick, Helen J. Chadwick of Coventry, and RI District Court Judge Madeline Quirk; twelve nieces and nephews; and eleven grandnieces and grandnephews. He was the brother of the late Richard P. Quirk, and the uncle of the late Ryan Quirk.

His funeral was held on Monday, December 3, from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peter Church, 350 Fair Street, Warwick. Burial was in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. www.barrettandcotter.com
