Josephine E. Jackson, 73, of 3070 West Shore Road, passed away peacefully December 5, 2017 at Hope Hospice Palliative Care of RI.
Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Mary E. (Bourque) Jackson. Josephine was employed for the State of RI at DCYF before retiring. Josephine was very steeped in her Catholic faith and was a member of St. Rose & Clement Parish in Warwick, RI.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews, sister-in-law, Beatrice Jackson, brother-in-law, Charles Hannigan, Jr., as well as many friends, at her apartment complex and her church community. Josephine was predeceased by her brother James Jackson, Sr. and her sisters, Athlyn “Jean” Hannigan, Margaret “Peggy” Peltier, Mary Jackson and Doris “Dot” Perron.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at 10:30 am from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Clement Church, Long St. at 11 a.m. Burial will be private in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visitation Wednesday 9-10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
