Judith Evelyn Babcock Brown of Port Orange, Florida, formerly of Milford, CT and Warwick, RI, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2018 at the age of 72.

Judy was born in Westerly, RI, the daughter of Ruth (Graf) and Clement Babcock and sister of Mary Babcock Szrom and Alice Carol Babcock. She was a 1964 graduate of South Kingstown High School and worked for Ryder Systems for 33 years in CT, NY, & RI as a Controller and Manager of Safety & Loss Prevention. She was a fan of the NE Patriots and NASCAR. She loved family gatherings & gardening. She had over 150 orchids and was an avid orchid club member, bird watcher, hiker, bike rider and lover of all wildlife, a great cook and a reliable friend to all who knew her. She and her husband have visited all seven continents and sailed the five seas while touring over 30 countries, including many exotic places too many to mention, all over the world. They have taken many cruises, the longest being 68 days. They have also owned 4 diesel motor homes and have traveled extensively in the US and Canada. While camping and making many new friends they visited all states and most provinces, traveling over 250,000 miles in 17 years.

Judy was predeceased by her daughter Susan Amy and Gregory Scott Brown and is survived by husband, of 45 years, Douglas G. Brown, son Keith Douglas Babcock, grandson Scott Edward Babcock & grandson Adrian Bruce Tarbox of North Kingstown, RI.

A celebration of her life will be held on September 8th at 11:00 a.m. at Kingstown Congregational Church 2610 Kingstown Rd, Kingston, RI 02881. Details will be posted at https://www.nationalcremation.com/location/oviedo and continuously updated.
