AT&T that has supported the Rhode Island Academic Decathlon in recent years and put the organization on track for its 34th annual competition scheduled for March 12, 2017 with a $6,000 donation. Open to all high schools in the state, the decathlon is a one-day event involving competitions in 10 academic events. Nineteen teams competed in the 2016 event, with the Hendricken team going on to place second nationally in its division in the United States Academic Decathlon held in Anchorage, Alaska.
