Mearthane Products Corporation (MPC), a Cranston-based developer and manufacturer of customized polyurethane components for office automation, banking, postal systems and other specialized industrial applications since 1965, has named Peter Kaczmarek President and Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately.

Kevin Redmond, Chief Executive Officer of MPC, said in a statement, “We are delighted to welcome Pete Kaczmarek to MPC. Pete’s long experience in growing manufacturing businesses, especially those in the custom specialty materials industry, will help MPC leverage our patented and proprietary technology globally. Pete and I plan to partner together to bring new opportunities and jobs to our company and to the State of Rhode Island.”

“MPC is a truly unique company with special people and innovative technology,” said Kaczmarek. We hold over 20 patents and have perfected the ability to customize complex polyurethane formulations to solve challenging problems for customers. I’m looking forward to working with Kevin and the MPC team to expand our business even further, from our home base right here in RI, USA.”

Kaczmarek was previously the President and CEO of Astrodyne TDI Corporation, a private equity owned developer and manufacturer of power supplies and components, where he and his team completed four global acquisitions and quadrupled the size of the company. Prior to that, Kaczmarek was Senior Vice President and General Manager of the High Performance Foams Division of Rogers Corporation, which completed two strategic acquisitions and grew at a 14% compounded rate of growth over a 10-year period. In addition, he has founded or acted as Director of three global joint ventures in Japan, China and Taiwan.
