McLarty to reminice about 'The Memory of Running' at library event

Actor, playwright and author Ron McLarty couldn’t find a publisher for his debut novel, The Memory of Running, and it only became a bestseller after Stephen King praised McLarty’s self-published audiobook and Viking picked up the novel and released it.

Kate Skinner McLarty, actress and Ron McLarty’s wife, will tell the story of how The Memory of Running was written and published at Warwick Public Library on Wednesday, August 14 at 7 p.m. In addition, pick up a copy of The Memory of Running at the Reference Desk and come for a get-together at the Warwick Summer Read book discussion on Tuesday, August 20 at 10 a.m.

For more information, call 739-5440 x9766. The library is located at 600 Sandy Lane. This event is free and open to all.
