Kevin M. Crudden, 65, of Flat River Rd., Coventry, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Born in Providence, RI, he was a son of the late John T. Crudden and Mary (McElroy) Crudden. Kevin lived in Warwick where he attended Warwick Public Schools in the Special Education classes. He worked at both the J. Arthur Trudeau Center and the Patterson Center for nearly forty years before illness forced him to retire. Kevin was truly a special person who touched the lives of all he met and to all who interacted with him.

He is survived by his sister Marie A. McShane and her husband, Gary of Coventry; two brothers, J. Timothy Crudden and wife, Joanne of North Kingstown, and Brian T. Crudden and his wife, Elizabeth, of Columbia, CT, and nieces and nephews: Tara Sweeney, Rose Boucher, Jessica Crudden, Katie Harbec, Bran Crudden, Kyran Crudden, and Melissa and Sean McShane. He was also the uncle of the late John Brian Crudden. He also leaves all of his housemates at the Coventry Group Home and the staff at the J. Arthur Trudeau Center who loved him and whom he loved back. They guided him through the years in many ways.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 10 a.m. in Saints John and Paul Church, 341 South Main St., Coventry. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, East Greenwich will be private.
