Lake with buoys

The Community College of Rhode Island Knight Campus Art Gallery will feature “Waterways,” monoprints by Denny Moers of Providence, through March 28. In his solo show, “Waterways,” Moers exhibits a selection of monoprints investigating concepts of water’s various manifestations in landscape from dams, rivers, lakes and flooded fields. These mostly new monoprints reveal a keen insight into the dynamic and poetic force of water. Moers, who received his master’s in fine arts from the Visual Studies Workshop, is a faculty member at Roger Williams University in Bristol. During the 1980s, he worked as Aaron Siskind’s first assistant and printer. He received a R.I. Pell Award for Excellence in the Arts in 2003. The gallery is located in Room 3500, on the third floor of the round building at the Warwick campus, 400 East Ave. Gallery hours are from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday.
