Congressman Jim Langevin (D-RI) has announced the appointment of Stuart Malec as his Press Secretary. Malec has spent the last three years in Langevin’s Warwick office handling a wide range of responsibilities, including casework, grant coordination, and constituent outreach. Prior to his time in the district office, Malec served as the Field Director for Langevin’s 2014 re-election campaign. He received his B.S. from the University of Rhode Island in 2014.
“Stuart has been a trusted member of my staff and a valuable resource to the Rhode Islanders I serve,” Langevin said in a statement. “He has done an exceptional job communicating my policies and priorities to my constituents over the years, and I know he will continue to do so in his new capacity as my press secretary.”
Malec is taking over the position recently vacated by Anita Baffoni, who is now working on Langevin’s 2018 re-election campaign. He will take over the role immediately and remain based in Langevin’s Warwick office.
