Lansdale R. “Dale” Wilson, age 85, of Winifred Avenue, Warwick, died at home on Monday, June 19, 2017. He was the husband of Marie J. (Poulin) Wilson.

Born in Germantown, Maryland, the son of the late Henry and Hilda (Sankey) Wilson, he lived in Pawtucket before moving to Warwick 18 years ago. He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Wilson was a foreman at the former Englehard Industries in Plainville, MA for 31 years, retiring in 1992. He was an active parishioner and volunteer at St. Benedict Church, and very involved in SPRED.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Robert R. Wilson of Warwick, Michael J. Wilson of Pleasanton, TX, Paul E. Wilson of Lincoln, and Christopher J. Wilson of Warwick; two daughters, Katherine A. Gagnon of Rehoboth, MA and Susan E. Armacost of Warsaw, IN; a sister, Theresa Lamontagne of Chepachet; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Henry, Richard, Stedman, William, and Francis Wilson, Evelyn Gallagher, and Hilda Gaudette.

His funeral will be held on Friday, June 23, 2017, at 9 a.m. from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Benedict Church, 135 Beach Avenue, Warwick. Visiting hours will be on Thursday from 4-7 p.m.

Burial with military honors will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to St. Benedict Church.
