Ginny Barham, president of the Conimicut Village association, presented Steve Uralowich with a citation at the February meeting for his contribution of time and materials for the erection of the association sign on West Shore Road. Steve, who lives on South Shore Road in Conimicut, works for Disandro Masonry of Cumberland. When he learned the association needed a brick enclosure around the “Welcome to Conimicut” informational sign to plant flowers around it, he volunteered to get his company to install the sign free of charge, including all the bricks, concrete foundation, cement and, most importantly, the many hours of labor. “It’s due to the volunteerism of residents like Steve that our association is able to continue its efforts to improve our village,” said Barham.
