Leonard E. Fletcher Sr.

Leonard E. Fletcher Sr., 81, died Sunday, July 28, 2019. He was the beloved husband of Margaret E. (Perreault) Fletcher.

A lifelong resident of Warwick, he was a son of the late Ernest C. and Fannie E. (Superneau) Fletcher. Leonard was employed by B.I.F. for 29 years. He continued on as head maintenance engineer in the former B.I.F. location with the new owners, Wasserman Properties, for several years until taking a position at the GEM Plumbing & Heating location in East Greenwich until his retirement. Leonard was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the United States Army. Many Warwick residents may remember Lenny as a Warwick Community Service Officer who volunteered for many years in our city. Lenny was a classic car enthusiast, who enjoyed classic car shows, cruise nights and driving around the city in his favorite classic car, his black ’57 Chevy BelAir.

He leaves his daughter Rhonda A. Fletcher-Schneider (David Roberto), and his sons, Leonard E. Fletcher Jr., and Steven R. Fletcher, all of Warwick. He also leaves his grandchildren, Carissa DeLuca (Jeffrey DeLuca) of Costa Mesa, CA, Nicole Schneider of Warwick, Jasmine Bujak, and Kimberly Fletcher (Kenneth Downey), and his great-grandchildren, Daryn, Emmaline, Savannah, and Jennalynn, all of Palmer, AK. He was the brother of Ralph Fletcher, and the late Ernest, Frank, Harold, and Edward Fletcher.
