Library film features woman behind ‘Little Women’


Discover the real Louisa May Alcott when Warwick Public Library presents the award-winning American Masters film “Louisa May Alcott: The Woman Behind ‘Little Women’” on Tuesday, May 22 at 7 p.m.

Much more than a children’s author, Louisa May Alcott served as a Civil War nurse and made a living writing pulp fiction before “Little Women” transformed her into a literary celebrity. Follow Louisa May through a tough and extraordinary childhood to her remarkable success as a great American author.
