The Warwick Public Library is offering a night of short films Aug. 12 when it hosts the Rhode Island International Film Festival. The festival starts at 7 p.m. Experience the thrill of a RIIFF opening night at a reprise of their 2016 opening line-up.

Library hosts short film series during RI International Film Fest

The Warwick Public Library is offering a night of short films Aug. 12 when it hosts the Rhode Island International

Film Festival. The festival starts at 7 p.m.

Experience the thrill of a RIIFF opening night at a reprise of their 2016 opening line-up. Watch films from Canada, France, Italy, Poland, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, UK and USA, including comical crowd-pleasers, thoughtful studies and just plain excellent movies.

Films to be shown include, "Bagni (Toilets)" (2016), "Rocambolesque (The Amazing Rocambole)" (2016), "Present" (2016), "Hycel (The Dogcatcher)" (2015), "Panic Attack!"

(2016), "Suspendu" (2015), "Kakkutta (The Crab)" (2015), "Amen" (2015), and "The Talk: True Stories about the Birds & the Bees" (2016).

All RIIFF shorts are eligible for the Academy Awards, and over the years many have received Oscar nominations.

The Rhode Island International Film Festival opens on August 8 at The Vets Auditorium in Providence and runs until August 13.
