Library starts New Year with special events
Warwick Public Library is jumping into the New Year with activities and events for children and adults.
Children can break out of the winter doldrums with Winter Wiggles, a boisterous half-hour of dance, games and simple yoga, in the Children’s Library on Saturday, Jan. 7 and Saturday, Jan. 21 at 11 a.m.
Adults can improve their computer skills with a hands-on, step-by-step computer class. Explore Microsoft Word on Tuesdays, Jan. 17 & 24 at 10 a.m. Discover Microsoft Excel on Wednesdays, Jan. 18 & 25 at 2 p.m. Learn how to use e-mail on Thursday, Jan. 19 at 7 p.m., and find out about the Internet on Thursday, Jan. 26 at 7 p.m. Beginners can learn Computer Basics on Tuesdays, Jan. 31 and Feb. 7 at 10 a.m.
The Tuesday Morning Film Discussion Group will watch the Sherlock Holmes mystery, “The Hound of the Baskervilles” (1939), starring Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce on Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 10 a.m. Bring a lunch and join in a casual, after-movie discussion.
