Join filmmaker and RISD faculty member Denali Tiller for a showing of the documentary movie Tre Maison Dasan (2018) at Warwick Public Library on Wednesday, January 23 at 7 p.m. See an intimate portrait of three Rhode Island boys growing up with a parent behind bars. Meet tough 13-year-old Tre, smart 11-year-old Maison and sensitive 6-year-old Dasan and get a kid’s-eye view of what it’s like to live in a society that demonizes your mom and dad, gives you little support, and assumes the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. After the screening, talk about the film with Denali and Maison.

For more information call 739-5440 x9758. The library is located at 600 Sandy Lane. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Library and Urgent Care Warwick and is free and open to all.
