Lindell C. Northup (née Clark), age 72, of South Russell, Ohio, formerly of Warwick. Beloved wife of William J. for 51 years; loving mother of Jarrett (Julie); dearest grandmother of William, Connor and Meghan; dear cousin and friend of many.

Lindell was a graduate and supporter of the University of Rhode Island, earning her bachelor’s degree in 1968 and her master’s degree in 1978. Later, she earned a certificate in non-profit management from Case Western Reserve University. She was a 50-year member of the American Association of Family & Consumer Sciences, in which she served in various roles including state president. She had many employers, including the federally funded Nutrition Education and Training Program at the Rhode Island Department of Education, the Ohio State University Extension Service, the Neighborhood Centers Association in Cleveland, Cuyahoga Community College and the University of Connecticut’s Cooperative Extension Service. Lindell loved to volunteer, especially at the Animal Haven in New Haven, Conn. and the WomanSafe Resale Shoppe in Chesterland.

Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 1 at 11a.m. at Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Ave, Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited and may call that morning from 9-11a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick.
