SUNNY AND COZY: The taproom of Apponaug Brewing Company gets plenty of sun through the renovated mill windows of what used to be a part of the Pontiac Mill.
DOG FRIENDLY: The brewery is happy to accommodate pups, like German shepherd mix Jersey, seen here smiling with dog mom Kristina McDonald, in their outdoor patio area.
KID FRIENDLY: Joseph Rodrigues was happy to indulge in a game of cornhole, set up outside the taproom on the patio. Plenty of children were joining their parents at the brewery on Saturday.
RIVER VIEW: Jody and Deborah Samuell enjoyed brews with a great view of the Pawtuxet River on Saturday.
The Apponaug Brewing Company enjoyed its grand opening this past Friday and its first full weekend of operation. With a sun-soaked taproom and tasty dishes made to order, an outdoor patio area that sits along the banks of the Pawtuxet River within the sprawling brick buildings of the Pontiac Mill in Warwick, the brewery was full on Saturday afternoon as well. Patrons enjoyed the seven house-brewed beers on tap and the spacious outdoor area to gather, with full families and lots of couples enjoying the ambiance. (Warwick Beacon photos)
