Making it extra special

“Fenway Park: 100 YEARS: The Official Definitive History of America’s Most Beloved Ballpark” was reason enough for Red Sox fans to visit Barnes & Nobel and Sunday’s visit by Red Sox player Sam Horn made it even better. Horn autographed copies of the book and chatted with fans, including Julia Caffrey who displayed her loyalty. Horn said Fenway is one of those parks – Toronto and Oakland were the others he named – where he feels “comfortable” and “in the zone” playing. Regardless of the sport, Horn said, in order to play, their best athletes must be comfortable with themselves. And Horn certainly made fans comfortable as he talked about baseball and autographed books. (Warwick Beacon photo)
