Marcia (Kettlety) Wheeler, 88, of Warwick, passed away on November 23. She was the wife of the late Donald H. Wheeler for 55 years.

She was born in Pawtucket, the daughter of the late Charles and Ruth (Henry) Kettlety. Marcia retired from the A&P food store and Star Market and in her later years volunteered as a foster grandparent at St. Kevin’s in the preschool class. She will be fondly remembered as a special person to her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her little friends in the preschool and will be greatly missed.

She leaves behind four daughters, Nancy Dean and her husband, Edson, of North Kingstown, Alice Lamontagne and her husband, Edward, of Preston, Conn., Marcia E. Wheeler of North Kingstown and Elizabeth “Betty” Wheeler of Warwick, with whom she lived. She was the sister of Charles L. Kettlety Jr. and the late Reginald and Gene Kettlety and Judith (Kettlety) Cudworth. She also leaves eight grandchildren and their wives and husbands, 16 great-grandchildren (who called her “GG”) and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

At her request, funeral and burial will be private.
