Martha G. Beard, 85, died Tuesday, October 29, 2019. She was the beloved wife of Robert L. Beard.
Born in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Walter I. and Gertrude M. (Trompeter) Glassmoyer, she resided in Warwick for 49 years. After raising her daughters, Martha worked as a secretary for 25 years, at MetLife, Ciba Geigy Chemical and Picerne Properties.
Besides her husband she is survived by her two daughters, Linda Fairtile and Elaine Rothermel. She was the mother-in-law of John Rothermel and the late Brian Fairtile. She also leaves her beloved grandson, Matthew J. Rothermel. She was the sister of Frank Glassmoyer, Mary Thompson, Caroline Pyles, Walter Glassmoyer Jr., Charles Glassmoyer, William Glassmoyer, Louise Grattan, Earl Glassmoyer, Nancy Spitler, Catherine Scholl and Sarah Funck.
Her funeral will be private at the convenience of the family.
