Mary “Anna” (Bussey) Ashness, age 84, of Kenwood Street, Warwick, was called home to heaven on May 3, 2017. She was the wife of the late William Ashness, Jr.
Born in Providence, the daughter of the late James and Antonia (Boisse) Bussey, she lived in Warwick for over 60 years.
She is survived by two daughters, Lori A. Ashness of Cranston and Tammy R. Allaire (husband David W. Allaire) of East Greenwich; a son, Gary T. Ashness (wife Deborah Ashness) of Centralia, Illinois; a sister, Rita Ribeiro of Warwick; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was the mother the late William O. Ashness, and the sister of the late Raymond Bussey, Theresa Mallon and Doris Baldwin.
Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 9, at 9:30 a.m. in the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to a charity of your choice. www.barrettandcotter.com
