Mary DiCicco Sangas, 76, died Sunday, October 13, 2019.

Born in Newton, Mass., she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Sarah (Lyons) DiCicco Sr. Mary was an elementary school teacher for 30 years. She started her career with the Boston Public School System and eventually retired with the Taunton Public School System. She was active in the mental health community, working at both Kent Care and Thrive Behavioral Health.

Passionate about her faith, she was a communicant and member of the Legions of Mary at Our Lady of Mercy Church, East Greenwich. She was also very active in the East Greenwich Community for the past 15 years.

She is survived by her three sons, Craig R. Sangas (Alicia), Jonathan M. Sangas (Kelli Boyer) and Jeremy A. Sangas; her grandchildren, Amanda, Stephen and Kalyb Sangas and great-granddaughter Aria Sangas. She was the sister of Elmer DiCicco Jr., Yvonne Donovan, Dimitri, Nanette, David, Mona, Thomas DiCicco and the late Carl Sr., Dennis, Allan, Armand and Adele DiCicco.

A visitation will be held Friday, October 18 from 5-8 p.m. in Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, October 19 at 11 a.m. with a visitation from 10-11 a.m. in St. Columbkill Church, 321 Market Street, Brighton, Mass. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham, Mass.
