Woodridge Congregational United Church of Christ will host an “All you Can Eat” Gourmet, Almost May May Breakfast Saturday, April 27 in the church Fellowship Hall, which is handicap accessible and located on 20 Jackson Road, off Budlong Road. The menu will consist of eggs, frittatas, johnnycakes, homemade waffles with fruit and whipped cream, ham, sausage, corned beef hash, home fries, homemade baked beans, strudel, muffins, assorted pastries, juice, milk, coffee, decaf and tea. Admission is $8.50 for adults and $5.50 for children under 12. Oak Lawn Community Baptist Church, Home of the Original May Breakfast, will hold its 146th Annual May Breakfast Wednesday, May 1 from 6-11 a.m. at 229 Wilbur Ave., Cranston/ The church’s May Breakfast was featured in the 2007 Edition of “1,000 Places To See Before You Die” by Patricia Schultz, as well as in the “Rituals of Spring” March/April 2011 Issue of Yankee Magazine. Traditional Menu includes clam cakes, scrambled eggs, ham, cornbread, coffee, juice and apple pie. Tickets are available at the door $7 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. People will be seated on a first-come, first-serve basis. As a combined effort with the Coventry Public Library Foundation, Literacy Volunteers of Kent County will be co-hosting its second Annual May Breakfast Fundraiser Saturday, May 4 from 8:30-10:30 a.m. at Nino’s on Lake Tiogue, 446 Tiogue Ave., Coventry. East Greenwich First Baptist Church will again celebrate May Breakfast on the first Saturday in May. This year is May 4 from 6:30-10 a.m. Adults are just $7 and children $3 and under 5 years are free. There will be orange juice, ham and eggs, home baked beans, johnnycakes baked while you watch, home fries, fresh assorted muffins and home pie for dessert. There will be beautiful May baskets filled with homemade fudge and flowers.
