May programs at Library include talk on bay animals

The Warwick Public Library is running a variety of programs this month for patrons and volunteers.

Teens who have finished sixth grade can apply to be a 2012 Children's Summer Reading Program volunteer. Teen volunteers sign up readers, listen to book reports, hand out prizes, and help with crafts and programs from June 18 through Aug. 20. Applications are available at the Children's Library.

Adults can learn about the animals of Narragansett Bay on Thursdays at 7 p.m. This Thursday the topic is, “Changing Fish Populations in Narragansett Bay.”

On Tuesday, May 22 at 7 p.m., the Library will present the American Masters film, “Louisa May Alcott: The Woman Behind ‘Little Women.’” The film follows Alcott from her tough childhood to her remarkable success as an American author.
