He was the cherished son of John F. and Margaret A. (Leary) McCabe. Michael was a graduate of Pilgrim High School and resided in Warwick most of his life. He was employed by Rhode Island Sheet Metal as an HVAC installer. He was known throughout his life as a dedicated and hard worker.

Michael most enjoyed attending his sons’ academic and sporting events. He loved being a father to his two boys and was extremely proud of his sons’ accomplishments.

Michael had hair like sunshine and a heart of gold, always the first to assist someone in need. Michael had been educating himself about methods of interaction with autistic children in order to enhance his bond with a special nephew. He was the comedian of the family, who brought boundless energy and endless laughter to every gathering. His happy-go-lucky presence will be deeply missed.

In addition to family, he will be missed by many friends.
