Michael D. Quinn, 67, a jewelry engraver in the jewelry industry, died December 25, 2011 at Kent Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Joanne (Nunes) Quinn for 42 years.

He was a son of the late Joseph T. and Theresa (Breckel) Quinn. Mr. Quinn was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of the DAV, the American Legion and the United Commercial Travelers.

Besides his wife he is survived by four children, Michael D. Quinn Jr., Joseph P. Quinn and his wife, Amanda, Matthew J. Quinn and his wife, Rebekah, and Alexandra M. Quinn; two sisters, Kathleen MacLeod and Judith Quinn; six grandchildren, Allyson, Kelsey, Kattie, Emily, Nathan and Declan; his father- and mother-in-law, Joseph and Anna Nunes; and a brother-in-law, James Nunes and his wife, Andrea. He was the brother of the late Theresa Quinn.

His funeral will be held Dec. 29 at 9 a.m. from Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Benedict Church, Beach Ave., at 10 a.m. Burial with military honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
