The Cedar Hill Cubs 2019 Wild West Fun Run where students obtain pledges for every lap they run in a series of races, ended with a shoot-out Friday as the students with the most in funds raised got to see if they could hit the mark with a softball and dunk Cedar Hill School Principal Frederick Schweizer, or “Dr. S” as known by faculty and students. Dr. S survived a number of miss-hits before taking the plunge, but once wet he did it again and again to the cheers of students. The fundraising program that included special prizes for the kids and matching T-shirts for participants was coordinated by Boosterthon with the assistance of the Cedar Hill School PTO. It surpassed the PTO’s goal of $25,000, raising a total of $33,000 that will be used for field trips and technical equipment for the school.
