Saturday Nov. 11th Makers:
▪12pm-4pm: RI Mini Maker Faire co-founder, Brian Jepson will demonstrate several free software packages that make it easy to design your own things for 3D printing. He'll have a few computers on hand for anyone who wants to try out the design tools. Come and learn how to design in 3D and you'll be ready to try designing on your own. From 12 to 4pm.
▪12pm-4pm: FIRST® LEGO® League of Rhode Island: Demonstrating LEGO EV3.
▪1pm-3pm: Ted McGuire, from Thames & Kosmos. Ted will be demonstrating Happy Atoms, Remote Control Machines and Robot Engineer. Kids can learn about molecules, coding and robotics.
▪1pm-3pm: Tinkered Treasures. Elyse Major will showcase projects from her books, blog and publications, that illustrate how simple it can be to put your personal imprint on everyday items. She will also be signing copies of her books. Elyse Mayor be signing copies of her books Tinkered Treasures, I Modify IKEA: Furnishings from Everyone's Favorite Store, Customized for Your Home, Seaside Tinkered Treasures: 35 adorable projects to bring the seashore home.
Sunday, November 12th Makers:
▪12pm-4pm: Tachyon Electrics will be demonstrating the latest in 3D printing.
▪12pm-4pm: Kids Klub: Art Project with Recyclable Item: Kids can participate in a fun art activity using recyclable items.
▪12pm-4pm: David Romano, from Tri-Tech Pathways. Igniting creative spark by engaging learners with the exploration of cutting edge technologies in a cool, hands-on experience.
▪12pm-4pm: FIRST® LEGO® League of Rhode Island: Demonstrating LEGO WeDo. 2pm-▪4pm: RI Computer Museum: RICM aims to explain basic concepts of moving robots. You will learn coding to instruct a simple robot to "talk" and move. We will provide hands-on experience using a Raspberry PI. You will also learn about programmable electronics for making lights blink, motors run and more. From 2 to 4pm.
