To ensure the Boys & Girls Clubs of Warwick (BGCW) continues to exceed expectations for delivering a safe, comfortable and enriching environment for its more than 1,500 members, the organization’s long-time Oakland Beach branch director, Monique Rossi, is being promoted to the role of operations director.

“In recent years our overall BGCW membership has grown dramatically, as has our need to increasingly assess the day-to-day functionality of all three of our branches,” explained executive director Lara D’Antuono. “To ensure we are appropriately structured to maintain the high standards every one of our members deserves while at the same time using our budget dollars wisely, beginning January 2, Monique will transfer to the Norwood branch where our administration offices are located, and also become that site’s branch director.”

Simultaneously, Kat Kenney, who joined BGCW in September after years in public schools, will move to branch director at Oakland Beach where she will focus on sustaining efforts to expand the exceptional programming and mentoring initiatives that the branch is known for throughout the community.

“BGCW has a great staff. And, we are lucky to have an experienced person in our Club who can assume the important responsibilities of operations director while also overseeing our Norwood branch programs,” said D’Antuono. “Monique’s organizational knowledge, analytical skills, experience and passion for our members will immediately ensure daily operations such as staffing, transportation, building safety measures and more are addressed consistently, quickly and efficiently.”

Rossi joined BGCW in 2009 as a senior staff and camp counselor. In 2010 she was promoted to open door director responsible for the day-to-day activities of the Oakland Beach branch.
