Most valuable wrestler

Warwick Vets wrestling team captain Devin Hurst is this year’s recipient of the Robert W. MacNaught scholarship – a $500-a-year scholarship for four years. The scholarship is named for Robert W. MacNaught who died Aug. 7, 1970 while on a mission in Vietnam. This is the 40th year the MacNaught family has presented the award. The recipient is chosen by his teammates. Devin was not only the Rhode Island State Champion at 170 pounds, but was also a member of the Rhode Island Honor Society and an Academic All State Wrestler for three years. He will attend Springfield College this fall where he will major in communications. Pictured from left are: Coach George Schmieder, Ken MacNaught, Devin Hurst, and his
