"My Week With Marilyn" has been held over at the Avon. We saw the film but didn't review it, thinking it would only be there for a week. We liked it, but were surprised that Monroe's memory was still that fresh in moviegoers' eyes.
Based on a true story, it tells the tale of a young English assistant director (translation: go-fer) who becomes infatuated with Marilyn while she is driving everyone else crazy, especially Sir Lawrence Olivier, while filming "The Prince and the Showgirl" in England.

You won't see a review for the latest Alvin and the Chipmunks movie. We have to draw the line somewhere, and after suffering through the first two we just couldn't bring ourselves to sit through those irritating creatures. Send the kids and go shopping.
