Narragansett Bay Symphony Community Orchestra performs Oct. 27

The Narragansett Bay Symphony Community Orchestra, Rhode Island’s premier community-based orchestra, will present its season opening concert on Sunday, October 27 at 3 p.m. in the McVinney Auditorium, 43 Dave Gavitt Way, Providence.

The program’s centerpiece is one of Sergei Prokofiev’s most famous works, the stunning Symphony No. 5 in B Major. Also featured on the concert is Robert Schumann’s lovely Cello Concerto in A minor featuring Emmaneul Feldman, soloist. Boston composer, Robert Edward Smith’s Overture, “Diana, Queen and Huntress,” will also be performed.

Join NaBSco and guest conductor David Feltner for an exciting afternoon of spectacular orchestral music.

General admission is $15, seniors and students $5, and children 12 and under are free. Tickets are available at the door or on line at NABSCO.org. Support the RI Food Bank by bringing a non-perishable food item.
