Newport BayCamp with Save The Bay

Posted by SaveTheBay

Children who love the water and adventure will love Save The Bay’s week-long summer camps in Newport. Save The Bay’s week-long BayCamp for children who have completed grades 2-4 promises hands-on, Bay-centric activities that are as much fun as they are educational. Headquartered at beautiful Fort Adams, BayCamp blends age-appropriate marine science and environmental education with water-based fun. Stepping onboard one of Save The Bay’s marine vessels, campers head out to several different islands, including Prudence Island, to explore shorelines and salt marshes, integral breeding ground for fish and waterfowl. They’ll also have plenty of time for snorkeling, swimming and interactive lessons taught by BayCamp counselors. Along the way, they’ll test the quality of the water right from the vessel.
