Norman W. Bosworth

Norman W. Bosworth, age 63, longtime Warwick resident, died in Los Lunas, New Mexico on September 30, 2012.

Beloved brother and friend, a “Gentle Giant” with a “Far-Side” sense of humor. A graduate of Warwick Veterans Memorial High School, 1967, Norm enlisted in the Air Force and was Honorably Discharged due to a medical disability. In 1972, Norm graduated from a 4 year apprenticeship program at the Quonset Naval Air Station as an Aircraft Electrician. He was employed by various companies in Rhode Island including Browne & Sharpe, Leviton, and RI Marine Services, as machine mechanic and marine electrician. His longtime employment was out of Davisville, RI as an electrician for the Navy Resale Program, traveling throughout the Northeast. In 1992, Norm relocated to Albuquerque, New Mexico, working for various companies, including Intel Corporation, finally moving to Los Lunas and becoming self employed as an electrician and handyman. Norm enjoyed "four-wheeling" and investigating the old mines of New Mexico. He was an avid photographer and played keyboard in a local band. He loved old military airplanes and vehicles, and regularly worked on his old cars. Norm converted one of his cars to run on hydrogen generated from water. He developed many good friendships in New Mexico, friends who will continue to be cherished by his family in Rhode Island.

Norm leaves a younger brother, Kendal Bosworth and wife, Doreen of Richmond, RI, also a sister, Deborah Bosworth, of Warwick; and a nephew Ronald and niece Alicia.

There will be a private gathering at his original home in Warwick, with a memorial and tree planting in the springtime.
