North Providence man indicted on multiple charges in alleged attack on former girlfriend
The Providence County Grand Jury has indicted a North Providence man in connection with an alleged attack on a former girlfriend earlier this year, according to the office of Attorney General Peter Kilmartin.
Frank Green, 40, of 94 Alexander St., in charged with two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon in a dwelling, assault with intent to murder, domestic strangulation, domestic breaking and entering, violation of a no-contact order, refusing to relinquish a telephone and larceny under $1,500.
Green is accused of breaking into the North Providence home of a former girlfriend in February, violently assaulting the woman with a box cutter, strangling her and stealing $800. North Providence police investigated the matter.
Green is scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on April 30.
