IN RE: SB 2018-06 THE NARRAGANSETT ELECTRIC COMPANY d/b/a NATIONAL GRID GROWTH POINT SOUTHERN RHODE ISLAND GROWTH REINFORCMENT PROJECT EFSB PETITION FOR DECLARATORY ORDER

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Pursuant to the provisions of Chapters 42-98 and 42-35 of the General Laws of the State of Rhode Island, in particular section 42-98-7, and 445-RICR-00-00-1-1.8(A)-(D) of its Rules of Practice and Procedure, the Energy Facility Siting Board (Board) will conduct a Public Comment Hearing on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 6:00 pm at New England Technical Institute, One New England Tech Blvd, S330, Third floor, East Greenwich, RI 02818.

The purpose of this hearing is to hear public comment on the Narragansett Electric Company d/b/a National Grid’s Petition for Declaratory Order – SB 2018-06. The Petition requests the Board to rule that the construction of a new gas distribution main is not an alteration as defined by under R.I. Gen. Laws 42-98-3(b) and 445-RICR-00-00-1-1.3(A)(4) the Board’s Rules of Practice and Procedure.

Docket materials are on file and available for public review at the offices of the Board at the Public Utilities Commission office building and at www.ripuc.org/efsb. The Public Utilities Commission office building is accessible to the handicapped. Individuals requesting interpreter services for the hearing impaired must notify the Coordinator at 89 Jefferson Boulevard, Warwick, 401-780-2108, at least 72 hours in advance of the hearing.
