Nov. 2 Fantasy Ball at Rhodes to benefit Tomorrow Fund

Posted

The Tomorrow Fund’s 32nd Annual Fantasy Ball will take place on Saturday, November 2 at Rhodes-on-the-Pawtuxet located in Cranston. All proceeds will benefit The Tomorrow Fund, the only local non-profit organization that provides daily financial and emotional support to children with cancer and their families who are treated in the pediatric oncology program and Tomorrow Fund Clinic at Hasbro Children’s Hospital.

The ball will begin with cocktails at 6 p.m. Dinner and dancing to the music of GQ and the Lady will follow. Highlighting the evening will be a silent and live auction featuring trips and getaways, golf at private courses, artwork, fine wine and more. This year’s theme, “An Evening of Enchantment” reminds us of just how magical children are. Approximately 700 guests are expected to attend. The Fantasy Ball was recently awarded “Best Nonprofit Fundraising Event” by Rhode Island Monthly.

Due to advances in treatment, eight out of 10 children battling cancer will win their fight, but all 10 children and their families depend on help from The Tomorrow Fund.

In addition to support for The Tomorrow Fund Clinic, The Tomorrow Fund provides daily monetary stipends for in-patient families; hospital parking passes for the duration of treatment; financial aid for home expenses such as heat, utilities, and rent; medical travel expenses and funeral expenses for children who have lost their courageous battle with cancer. The Tomorrow Fund also offers summer camps, support groups, survivorship programs, college scholarships and community education. These vital programs are made available to our patients and families from the time of diagnosis, throughout treatment, into recovery and beyond.

To date, over 2,000 children and their families have received financial and emotional support from The Tomorrow Fund. For more information about The Tomorrow Fund please contact our office at 444-8811 or visit www.tomorrowfund.org.
