On the march for the needy

Senior John Dai leads his fellow Hendricken classmates in the school’s 38th Annual Hunger Walk held Thursday. About 900 students, as well as many faculty and staff, participated in the 10k walk throughout Warwick. The purpose of the walk, which has been a Hendricken tradition since 1975, is to create a sense of solidarity with the poor and hungry for Hendricken students.

Donations from students and faculty preceding the walk raised $15,000 to be distributed among local, national and international charities. Local charities include the Elizabeth Buffum Chace Center, The DaVinci Center and St. Patrick’s School in Providence.
