PAL all-star teams ready for state tournament play

The Warwick PAL all-star baseball teams will begin their quests to capture state championships this weekend when bracket play gets underway for the 13-, 14- and 15-year-old Rhode Island Babe Ruth State Tournaments.

The 13-year-old team will be comprised of Anthony Blade, Dylan Bourret, Matthew Colvin, Thane Denton, Devin Farrell, Alex Mann, Chris Manzo, Brendan McCaffrey, Camden Nadeau, Aaron Narcavage, Zachary Scotti and Max Turner. The team will be managed by Bill Piccirillo, and he will be assisted by Tom McMullen and Mike Narcavage.

The 13-year-old tournament will be hosted by North Providence-Smithfield Babe Ruth, with games being played at North Providence High School. PAL will open with a matchup against Coventry on Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m.

The 14-year-old roster will include Tyler Amore, Jeremy Ashman, Michael DiComitis, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Jake Mullen, Michael Nichols, John Procaccini, Brandon Rooney, Eric Shaw, Noah Sullivan and William Walaska. The 14s will be managed by Mike Cook, with Michael Cook helping out as an assistant coach.

The 14-year-old tournament will be played at Paine Field, the home of Coventry Babe Ruth. PAL’s first game will be against North Providence-Smithfield on Sunday at 7:30 p.m.

The 15-year-old squad will be made up of Cameron Armenti, Brett Babcock, Tyler Brunelle, Jack Howe, Derek Lallo, Nathan Miller, Andrew Merryfield, Thomas Mullane, Tyler Parks, Jake Randall, Christian Repoza, Connor Tainsh and Nicholas Zabawar. The group will be managed by Jeff Howe, who will be assisted by Steve Lallo and Michael Mullane.

The 15s will play at War Memorial Field in Middletown, with the tournament being hosted by Aquidneck Island Babe Ruth. PAL will play host Aquidneck on Saturday at 12:30 p.m., and the winner will take on Coventry at the same time on Sunday.
