Solomon train on the tracks

Warwick Mayor Joseph Sololmon and his son, State Rep. Joseph Solomon, along with Thomas “Jake” Holm, boarded the Rhode Island American Legion’s famed Forty & Eight Train – driven by David “Chucky” Holm – early last Sunday afternoon at the Oakland Beach Volunteer Fire Company and made their way to a Pink Heals Car Show Fundraiser hosted by the Warwick Lions Club that attracted an overflow crowd to the seaside park. Dressed in a white shirt and khaki pants, Solomon wore a pink necktie to show his support for the organization founded in 2009 to support families whose loved ones have been stricken with and are battling cancer. The mayor, who owns several classic cars, beat back the oppressive heat and made his way around the park thanking people for coming to the city and helping the important non-profit.
