Paul S. Taylor

Paul S. Taylor, 94, of Exeter, died peacefully on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Kent Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Barbara I. (Ross) Taylor.

Born in Fort Fairfield, Maine, he was the son of the late Guy and Elizabeth (Stewart) Taylor. Paul was employed as an Inspector for the US Government at the Electric Boat Division of General Dynamics, retiring in 1984. He was a World War II Veteran of the United States Navy serving in five naval campaigns. Paul was a member of Greenwood Community Church, Presbyterian, Cranston Seniors, RI Line Dancers Group and the American Legion. Paul was also a member of the Country Music Association and served as the group’s photographer and years ago served as a Boy Scout Leader.

Paul is survived by two loving daughters: Pamela A. Murray and Heidi E. Smith (Kenneth), all of Exeter; four cherished grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was the loving father of the late Glen S. Taylor and brother of the late Nelson Taylor, Donald Taylor, Warren Taylor and Helen McDougal.

His Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 16, 2018 at Noon in the Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10:30 a.m. - Noon. Burial with military honors will take place in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter.
