The Pilgrim girls basketball team continued its recent roll with a 52-23 win over cross town rival Toll Gate on Tuesday evening.
Pilgrim used its tough defense to hold the visiting Titans to just eight points in the first half. The Lady Pats cruised through the second half and wrapped up the lopsided victory.
Senior Nadine Ogni led the Pats with a game-high 12 points scored while Faith Meade, Kelsey Burr and Sara Langevin all added eight. Ogni, Burr and Meade all scored multiple three-pointers in the win as well.
Natalie Aloisio led Toll Gate with 10 points, followed by Sydney Perreault with six.
Pilgrim improved to 5-2 in league play and will take on Tolman tonight at 7 p.m. The Titans fell to 4-4 in league play and will host North Smithfield on Friday evening.
