In a ceremony held Friday, Pilgrim High School students and faculty honored community veterans they had nominated for recognition. The student or faculty member who had nominated them accompanied each honoree to the stage. They received a plaque bearing their name and patriotic pens made by students in the woods and materials courses. The ceremony organized by Assistant Principal Pam Bernardi included songs performed by the Pilgrim Chorale, music by the Pilgrim Band and remarks by English teacher Kristen Dwyer. Active military members honored were Sargent Ryan Corcoran and Major Ryan Dwyer. Veterans honored were James Cameron Jr., Wayne Ferreira, Frank Impagliazzo, John Kolarik, Raymond O’Brien, Douglas Randall Jr. and David Tibbitts. Honorees unable to attend included Darren Grant, Dr. Paul McKenney, Earl Morrison, Walter Neary and Raymond O’Brien. (Warwick Beacon text and photos)
