On Sunday, March 18 at 2:49 a.m. the Warwick Police Department responded to the Sunoco Gas Station located at 2003 Post Road for the report of a robbery at that location.
It was reported that a female subject had entered the store, selected a drink from one of the displays, went up to the counter and asked for a box of cigarettes and then demanded money. The clerk reported that the suspect insinuated she had a weapon while she demanded the money.
She was described as a white female, approximately 5'5" and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with gray sweatpants.
The suspect then exited the store and got into a silver SUV-type vehicle and fled southbound on Post Road with an undisclosed amount of money. An extensive search was conducted by members of the Warwick Police Department. Video surveillance captured the images seen here of the suspect.
Anyone with additional information should contact the Warwick Police Department Detective Division at 401-468-4233 or Detective Jeffery Viveiros at 401-468-4248.
