To the Editor:
In a recent literary article, the following was cited, "Woe to THOSE who call evil good, and good evil, who put darkness for light, and light for darkness.”
The reader probably has no idea of the source of that citation but it is certain he/she understands the author's reason for referencing it and his angst concerning the new bizarre world because they probably share a similar anguish – it's an upside-down world. So what is this contemporary dread that so shakes people? What in this list is the cause of such dislocation and depression? The bitter political turmoil now in vogue, life is now so diminutive in value that infanticide is acceptable and aborted baby parts are sold, the utter disrespect for authority and the rule of law, the seemingly all-pervasive hatred, or the multitude of other failings.
One can continue with speculation but the critical message and caution is clear, no one should want to be in or support the group that is the "THOSE" in the quote. Everyone should be wary that they are not lead to or on the wrong path. Finally, staying involved, hope and prayer (there are no atheists in foxholes) may be wise choices for our country's return to sanity and reformation.
