Reception for Warwick artist is Wednesday at Cranston gallery
The work of Antoinette Campbell-Hunter of Warwick is on exhibit now through Nov. 4 at the Gallery at Art and Soul in Cranston. A reception in her honor will be held Wednesday from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the gallery at 2007 Broad Street, Cranston.
Antoinette was born, raised and spent a good deal of her adult life in England. Her mother often said that she was born with a paintbrush in her hand. She says she always was drawn to creative pursuits but her practical side required her to gain training in the engineering and technical illustration in order to earn a living. But she never abandoned her art or her dream to be a "painter." Today, she devotes her time to her art, on canvas and on the walls, floors and ceilings of her Victorian home. All of her art tells a story.
You will have an opportunity to meet Antoinette and hear the story behind her paintings on Oct. 24 between 6 and 8:30 p.m. at the Gallery at Art and Soul, 2007 Broad Street, Cranston, at a reception in her honor.
